“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending…”

C.S. Lewis

I specialize in supporting people who are working through complex and/or developmental trauma. These are the types of trauma that develop over the course of a lifetime, often beginning with relational ruptures in childhood.

Therapy for Complex and Attachment Traumas and PTSD

Many people assume that only “shock” traumas such as combat or a car crash result in clinical trauma symptoms, but that is absolutely not the case.

Relational and attachment traumas can have a profound impact on the development of our nervous systems, our personalities, and our ability to engage with life and with others.

The different types of trauma benefit from different types of treatment—therapies designed to treat the aftermath of an assault, for instance, may not help you face the cumulative effects of childhood neglect and abuse.

I draw from a variety of modern therapeutic frameworks to provide neurobiologically-informed support for recovering from the impacts of all types of trauma, rebuilding a resilient nervous system, and working with the root causes of symptoms like depression and anxiety.

What We Might Explore Together:

  • Complex and developmental/attachment trauma

  • PTSD

  • Anxiety, depression, and nervous system dysregulation

  • Grief, loss, and major life transitions

  • The impact of early attachment wounds

  • The integration of a late-in-life neurodivergence diagnosis

  • Spiritual questioning and existential exploration

  • Identity clarification and values-based realignment

Modern Trauma Treatment:

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE)

  • Internal Family Systems-informed parts work (IFS)

  • Coherence Therapy
